BUSHEHR PORT
Following winning in the general tender
of the ports and maritime organization
in 2003, and conclusion of a 10-year
contract with Bushehr's
ports and maritime organization,
administration of all services at the
terminals of general cargo and
containers, were left to Bonyad Barandaz
Company.
Through high speed, precision and a
sense of responsibility this company has
been able to direct importers' attention
to this port and witness their
increasing levels of imported container
cargo which has led to the highest
imports growth rate ever among all ports
since the year 2003.
Considering the increasing growth in the
port's container operations, the
provincial office for ports and maritime
embarked on further infrastructural
development of a region named 'Hamoon'.
The project included advancing into the
sea and construction of a 388-meter
container berth with a water depth of 12
meters for vessels up to 30,000 Tons,
cleansing the entrance canal into Bushehr, restoring 12 Hectares of land
from the sea and a 850 meter internal
canal wave breaker.
Favorable and satisfactory performance
of Bonyad Barandaz Co led to
consideration of a 25-year container
terminal contract which was later
confirmed by the Ports and maritime
bureau of Bushehr province and the
operating body of the ports and maritime
organization after thorough studies and
feasibility researches.
Investments Following the above
mentioned studies and consideration of
the executive plan for Bushehr Port
development including construction of a
new container terminal, Bonyad Barandaz
Co, decided to invest 25 Million Dollars
in the construction works and purchase
of required machinery including 2 Gantry
Cranes, 8 RTG machines, 4 Reach
Stackers, and 24 High Tech Tag Master,
2Empty Container Handler. The project is
forecasted to be accomplished by the end
of Iranian year of 1390 (End of March
2012) |

By adopting a leading policy in
the staff recruit practices, Bonyad
Barandaz Company has been trying to
employ educated personnel with related
backgrounds in ports services. The same
policy has greatly enhanced efficiency.
Since efficiency is a product of
employing the world's advanced
technology and up-to-date knowledge,
since the year 2003, Bonyad Co. has been
dispatching some of their personnel to
domestic as well as overseas training
courses related to container terminal
specialties in countries pioneer in such
technologies including the Netherlands,
Belgium and France. The experience
gained by these professionals is now
being utilized at Bushehr port.
In line with its strict customer care
policies, Bonyad Barandaz Co. has
provided some facilities to be offered
to the customers including the shipping
lines, business people, cargo owners and
their representatives so that they can
receive and interact with online data on
shipping operations, container transfers
etc.
Software
Following a remarkable increase
in the container load in 2003, having
signed a 10-year contract in Bushehr
port, Bonyad Barandaz Co. launched a
series of research and survey to further
study the expansion of container
operations in the port with an aim to
guarantee continuous flow of container
operations. This research led to a
better recognition as well as
development of comprehensive high tech
software (BCTS) designed to administrate
the container terminal. The software is
capable of automatically controlling all
operations from the very beginning to
the end in a man less discipline. Data
transfer is done through hand held
computers with the software directly
connected to the website " www.bcts.ir".
